Connecting the Spiritual Dots with Your Business

Connecting the spiritual dots with your business is essential, but many business owners are oblivious to its power. Does this sound familiar to you…

You understand the Law of Attraction, but have never made the leap to manifesting your desires with your businesses or career.

How can this be? The Law of Attraction is ALWAYS working. Always. No exception. So, how is it that you “understand” the Law of Attraction but are not reaping the benefits?

The answer is that you already ARE reaping benefits!

You are reaping the benefit of continously energetically de-cohering with (repelling) your desire(s). Nothing seems to improve in your business or career because you are reaping the same benefits over and over, and they are not the benefits you say you prefer.

Just a side note about saying we want something and then refusing to shift our energy in the direction of our desires. I’ve done this, and I bet most people have at one time or another, so I’m stating this from personal observation.

To me, this behavior shows that the person is not (at that red-hot moment) truly ready to make the energetic shift. Sometimes humans have to wait for problems to get so bad that they can no longer endure them before they will do the inner work.

Of course, you can always consciously choose to opt out of things getting really bad before you begin making energetic changes.

One of the benefits of contrast is that is often pushes people to go within and deal with long-standing issues they might otherwise have ignored.

So, if you find yourself in this category, just be aware of it. Release self-judgment and embrace your curiosity. Awareness and curiosity have tremendous power for helping us release what’s not working and move forward.

Connecting The Spiritual Dots

In order to align with our desires, we have to be willing and ready to start connecting the spiritual dots, and doing it the sustainable way takes some time and retraining of the bodymind (mind and emotions).

In physics-speak, the Law of Attraction means like vibrations cohere and unlike vibrations de-cohere. That is, we draw to us what we’re aligned with vibrationally (energetically), and repel what we are not or no longer aligned with vibrationally.

Change begins happening quite quickly when we finally connect those energetic dots and shift our own energy. It’s never too late to start (unless you’ve already decided it’s too late for you). Having a great mentor or counselor can help people see where they’ve been blocking themselves.

Here’s the most important part to understand: Connecting the Spiritual Dots requires an INTERNAL SHIFT. Nothing changes in your external world until you shift internally, both mentally and emotionally!

Source Leads the Way

In their many books, videos, and workshops, Abraham has repeatedly said that the moment consciousness comes to a new perspective, a new preference, Source immediately BECOMES the new preference.

Whether consciousness is a one-celled amoeba in the ocean, cells in your body, or a thought about your business, Source is immediately responding and calling you vibrationally toward your new preference(s). We feel bad when we do not answer that energetic call from Source.

The angst we feel is when we resist the calling of Source.

We feel angst when we argue for why we can’t get what we prefer.

We feel bad when we’re constantly telling the opposite story of our preference(s) and wondering why our preference hasn’t shown up.

We feel frustration when we focus more on ‘what is wrong now’ versus our new preference.

We feel uneasy at best, worried and fearful at worst, when we try to figure out HOW to accomplish our new preference before we are energetically aligned with our preference. We’ve put the energetic carriage before the horse: Get into alignment FIRST.

Can you relate?

Alignment Connects the Dots

Part of connecting the dots is getting into agreement with your preference. We call this aligning or alignment. The process of aligning may require retraining our bodymind, patience, and consistent decisions to stay focused on our new preference(s).

Here are a few practices to begin the process of making the internal shift by getting into alignment with your preferences:

• Practice Being Quiet – Whether you meditate on your breath, watch the clouds float by, or get into a deep state of Pure Awareness, the regular practice of being quiet rewires the brain and allows us to better hear our own inner guidance. Think of this as the gardener prepping the landscape for the new seeds.

• Practice Noticing Your Responses – Use your natural ability to observe to become aware of your response to your new preference(s). No judgement or correction, just notice them. For instance, consider something you’ve been wanting to improve in your business for quite a while…notice your response to the idea that you can begin experiencing this improvement today or tomorrow, or next week. Your response lets you know how you really feel at a deeper level.

Once you have become aware of your responses, you can always choose a new response. The timing is up to you. Think of this as the gardener pulling the weeds so the seeds can grow better.

• Practice Noticing Your Counter Intentions – This is a big one! At least it has been for me. For instance, you say you want more clients, but you find yourself not wanting to work with the potential clients who show up. What’s really going on here? A counter intention (maybe more than one!) is splitting your energy by pulling you in the opposite direction of your preference. The result is getting nowhere, fast. Think of this as the gardener extracting the whole root on those really deep-rooted weeds, so they don’t come back.

Notice and clear your counter intentions, and watch your world shift!

• Practice Working with the Four Mighty Ones – Neville Goddard wrote about the Four Mighty Ones of the Imagination in his book, Seedtime and Harvest. They are the producer, the author, the director and the actor in the drama of your life. Practice each of those roles in relation to your preferences. (Click the link above to learn more.)

Think of this practice as the gardener planting seeds with the really powerful organic fertilizers.

• Practice Believing in the Possibilities – Take a few minutes every day, first thing in the morning or just before bedtime, to write down your preferences, why you believe you can have / experience what you prefer, and ways in which you might be seeing glimpses of it already. Some people prefer to have a separate journal for this, but pieces of paper placed in a binder can work just as well. Don’t be surprised if one day, you no longer feel the need to write it down because it’s so *obviously possible* to you!

Think of this as the gardener watering and lovingly nurturing the plants.

• Practice Affirming Your Preferences – Think and speak in ways that affirm what you prefer. Create your own powerful customized affirmations that speak directly to your unique preference(s). Write them on beautiful cards you place around your home, car, office and purse / briefcase to remind, uplift, and inspire you.

When you think and speak affirmatively toward your preferences, it’s like the gardener creating the ideal environment for the best possible crop!

Anecdote for Feeling Helpless

Anecdote for Feeling Helpless

Do you find yourself feeling helpless when you hear about yet another conflict, natural disaster, abused or missing animal or person?

It seems like you can’t even turn on the news or join in a social media conversation without some distressing information being shared. It can seem like everywhere you look, there’s another horrible—or potentially horrible—situation at hand. What do you do when it’s so easy to feel overwhelmed and helpless to create positive change?

We are all infinitely more powerful than we may realize. Humans are not just spiritual beings in physical bodies, the source that flows through each and every one of us is the energy that creates worlds!

I don’t talk about this often, or publicly, for that matter, but for the last decade I have been employing a process that has proven to be an anecdote for feeling helpless. I am sharing this technique here, and if it resonates for you, try it yourself.

First, a little backstory…

It started for me one winter when I heard about a young San Francisco couple with a baby who were missing and believed to be somewhere in the Sierra Nevada mountains. They had last been seen driving up into the mountains before a blizzard had paralyzed the area. Being a highly sensitive person (HSP), I immediately felt a sense of fear and despair for the couple and their young child as the days wore on and the family had not been found.

Really, it felt awful.

The more I thought about the possible hardship this couple might be facing, the more I felt more devastated…and helpless. Until it dawned on me that I could use my natural creative power of imagination to ‘imagine’ that this family was found. With this glimmer of hope, I realized intuitively that I could do more from where I was to help this family (while warm and safe, at home) by imagining a better outcome than by dwelling on all the horrific possibilities.

I began imagining that a search helicopter was able to find them. Using my imagination, I imagined how relieved the family and searchers would feel. I imagined them being found safe and sound.

That was in the afternoon after the family had been missing for several days. I kept imagining they were found all afternoon because it felt better than worrying.

Later, that evening, the news reported that a search helicopter had found the missing car on the final pass of the day.  Ground crews had found the mother and child alive in the car! The father had hiked to find help, and was later found to have fallen to his death.

Admittedly, the outcome was not entirely what I would have liked, but I couldn’t help but feel that somehow I might have helped that mother and child be found alive. That thought alone felt more empowering.

Imagining the best certainly beats feeling helpless and worried!

Since that time, I’ve used this same technique of “imagining the best outcome”, even when I don’t know entirely what that would be. I focus on the positive feeling that everything is resolved whenever I hear of anyone in any kind of distress. I imagine that I can connect directly with the person(s) involved and then I imagine they are guided to the help they need.

I have imagined…

  • ill people finding the medical help they need, and they do.
  • missing animals being found, and they are.
  • missing adults being located, and they are.
  • weather improving, and it has. Hurricanes have downgraded to tropical storms or completely change course. Blizzards have been less troublesome than predicted.
  • missing children being found, and within a day or two, they usually are.
  • victims of natural disasters finding relief and assistance in a timely manner.

One time, I imagined a missing boy being found, and not only was he found but also another boy who had been kidnapped many years prior by the same abductor!

Imagining the best for someone feels a LOT better than imagining the worst. Whether family, friends, or complete strangers, if something positive can come from imagining the best, then it’s really worth the effort!

I’ve trained myself to do this the minute I hear about someone in distress from a disaster or missing, for whatever reason. It’s my go-to response, and it certainly helps me feel like I am a powerful part of a solution versus a helpless bystander.

Sometimes, though, when I begin to connect with the person remotely and imagine them being found, I might get a sense that they are no longer in physical form. Some are quick to let me know that it’s too late, while others just give me a sense that they are no longer ‘here’. If that happens, while still ‘connected’ I tell them telepathically that if they are not in physical form, their family would like closure…please guide the authorities to their body. More often than not, the person’s body is reported found shortly after.

No, I have never contacted the police in these areas around the globe. I am just choosing to use my energy in a positive way, where I am, rather than focusing on all the negative possibilities. I admit it thrills me when a positive outcome results, but the truth is that focusing in this way is what ALSO keeps me sane amidst countless stories of heartache and misery all around.

We ALL have this power, if we choose to activate it!

Some might say it’s a *coincidence* that I imagine these people being found or helped, and then they are. If you are among those who believe in coincidences, I really don’t know what to say to you as I have learned there is no such thing as a coincidence.

Don’t take my word for it, try it for yourself: the next time you hear a news story that plummets your heart into despair, consider using your immense natural power to ‘imagine the best’ for all involved, then notice what happens in the news.

Have you already tried this before, or are you willing to give it a try?

I’d love to know what you this post has stirred in you. Please share your comments below…

Creating Your Own Economy

If you’re breathing, it’s pretty hard to miss it: Everybody and their brother is talking about the economy. Most are labeling it everything from slow or down, to a recession, and some even consider it the beginning of a depression.

Here’s the thing: Everything is energy, including our economy. In our attraction-based Universe, what we focus upon, we attract energetically. What we focus upon with emotion, we attract even faster energetically. Doesn’t matter what emotion ~ Quantum Physics and heart-based studies show that feeling an emotion boosts the energetic broadcast of your focus across the quantum field of possibilities and brings THAT possibility closer to you much faster than if you thought about it with no emotion.

economySo, when mass-consciousness is focused on something (in this case the economic state), what is being focused upon is being created. If you are worrying and complaining about the economy, you are actually contributing to the current state!

Do the masses who are focusing negatively on the economy really want an economic slowdown, recession, or a depression? I highly doubt it, since their source of focus is usually complaining, blaming, and worrying. They are just unconscious of their true creative powers.

Nevertheless, their incessant attention and their worries lock them in fear which just adds MORE energy to the creation process. If people truly understood their incredible power of creation, I believe they would choose differently. Surely, these folks are not conscious that their attention and energy is adding to such possibilities.

The best way to counteract the mass energy moving toward a non-desired outcome is for those who choose to be Deliberate Creators to consciously focus attention in a desired direction, and tune-out what the less conscious folks are saying about the matter. This is not a time to engage in never-ending conversations about the problems with ‘what is’. Abraham has said (paraphrasing, here) that one conscious person who is tuned into Source Energy is far more powerful than millions who are not.

When it comes down to it, we create our own economy with our vibration (how we interact with the Source Energy around us), our thoughts/attitudes that drive our actions, and the belief in the possibilities. We create our own luck by believing in the possibility of opportunities. What we are willing to perceive is what predominantly shows up in our world. This is why *it seems* as though those who are doing well continue to do so, and those on the edge seem to slip off.

By the way, don’t let the fear-mongers who tell economic horror stories designed to paralyze your efforts fool you: More millionaires were created during The Great Depression than any other time in U.S. History, and this article explains how and why this happened. It boils down to Deliberate Creators believing that something else was possible, focusing attention there, and being aware of all the opportunities available to create their own economic booms. Oh, and if you are letting people talk you out of reaching your dream, then you are not a Deliberate Creator.

Have you made a conscious decision to be a Deliberate Creator, or do you live by default allowing others to decide how you will experience your life?

Here are some steps that conscious, Deliberate Creators can take today to create their own economy:

1. Take responsibility for your own vibration. Pay attention to how you feel and use it as a guide to keep your vibration as high and clear as possible. Meditate regularly so you become attuned and accustomed the higher vibrations. Then, when you begin to feel your vibration slip, you’ll notice it faster and be in a better position to course-correct. Only you are in control of your vibration, as no one else can think and feel for you.

2. In quiet or meditative moments, get clear about the outcomes you would prefer to experience. Knowing clearly what you are aiming for allows you to use your energy most effectively. Not sure what you really want? Deliberately collect more data until you get clear, and you can always define and add further clarity.

3. Find ways to activate the vibration of your desired outcomes: Put yourself in the feeling place of already having what you are seeking such as through visualization, affirmations, creating vision boards or mind-movies, talking about the possibility with other deliberate creators, writing about experiencing your manifestation. Write down & read or say your affirmations regularly. Imagine the perfect clients contacting you again and again. Know what it feels like to be successful and create a profitable economy for yourself.

4. Deliberately seek and connect with other conscious creators. There are *many* of us out here in your real and virtual networks. You can tell who we are by the enthusiasm in our voices and sparkle in our eyes. Those who vibrate much lower find us irritating to be around because we remind them that they have a choice. Begin engaging folks in conversations. If the conversation quickly turns to complaining and blaming failure on the *economy*, then you haven’t found us, yet. Keep believing in the possibility of connecting with other Deliberate Creators.

Good Vibe University is one of the best communities for Deliberate Creators I have seen so far! If your search hasn’t turned up a consistently positive and supportive community, check out GoodVibeU.

5. Get picky about the energy you allow around you. Turn off the news and lo-vibe media. Choose instead to read uplifting books, articles, and blog-posts. Listen to uplifting podcasts. Limit time with low-vibing fault-finders and complainers. Join an uplifting business group such as Quantum MasterMind. Find ways to inspire others and be inspired everyday. Many folks who did this saw their businesses grow exponentially. It’s not a coincidence.

Now it’s your turn:
What do you do to be a conscious, Deliberate Creator of your own economy?

Best Seat in the House!

A few weeks ago, I attended an outdoor event that my son was participating in. It turned out to be a very hot/not-a-cloud-in-the-sky day. I had anticipated this event, and had used my imagination to define what I wanted to experience in advance. As I wanted the best seat with optimal view, I asked my son what part of the stage he would be on, and did my visualizations from that vantage point. Unfortunately, I had not anticipated theintense heat and lack of shade. Most of the elderly in the audience had umbrellas for shade and the colorful nylon sea all around made me wonder how I would “see” the stage. Fortunately, I was able to buy some bottled water and stay hydrated.

I made arrangements to get to the location about 1.5 hours before, thinking that would be ample time, and found that all the seats in the area where I was planning to sit were already reserved by others. While this did have me wondering about all the advanced visualizations I had done, I know by now… that having done those visualizations meant I would find the best seat.

So, I went from row to row asking if seats were available. Finally, I found a row where there were some seats toward the middle of the row. I sat in a seat at the center of the row so that a larger group could sit to the left of me.

About 10 minutes later, a family came and sat in the open seats on my left. The eldest member of the family was an obese man who sat right next to me. This wouldn’t have been a problem except that the seats were so close…and it was SO HOT! This man overflowed his own chair and was essentially sitting in mine. With his hot, sticky body stuck up against my left side, I quickly began to feel the heat even more.

As soon as I recognized that I was not appreciating the experience, I knew I had better change my attitude and focus on what I DID want…not on what I was experiencing, because I didn’t want that! After all, this is what I coach clients about all the time: Take your attention off what you don’t want, no matter how hard that is, and focus on what you do want…even if that seems impossible in the moment.

The family to the right of me still had reserved seats, and no one was sitting to the right of me. I used that feeling of empty space to help me visualize no one sitting to the left of me, either. I had no idea how to accomplish this, of course, but I know that the Law of Attraction doesn’t require you to know how to accomplish what you want. Just decide what you want and focus on that.

So, I got very clear that I desired…

…no one sitting to the left of me…

…gentle breeze blowing to cool me down…

…and an unobstructed view of the stage.

I visualized that. Imagined that. Ahhh…that’s nice! My mind wandered. I gently brought it back to the visualization, and focused on the feeling of relief. My mind wandered again. Just like with meditation, I just gently brought myself back to the visualization and feeling. I never said a word to anyone around me. My thoughts were focused on my own visualization meditation, and when it wandered, I gently brought it back.

After about 10 minutes of this, the man stuck up….I mean, sitting…next to me brought out a large golf umbrella. You know, the kind with the 4 foot diameter and 2-3″ spokes sticking out beyond the umbrella? When he got it open, he dropped it down behind his shoulders and hits me in the face/shoulder. I was more than a bit surprised, as this happened while I was in the middle of this visualization meditation.

I sputtered,”Uhm, sir, you are hitting me in the face with your umbrella.”

Without saying a word to me, he got up, moved one seat to his left and sat back down! In that moment, I not only had the seats on either side of me open (just as I had visualized), but I began to feel a soft cooling breeze coming up behind me! I smiled to myself. It’s working, I thought and feeling grateful, I kept visualizing a clear view to the stage.

A few minutes later, a woman came to the stage and asked everyone to put their umbrellas away. The audience groaned. She said, “I know, but if you don’t put your umbrellas down, the people behind you will not be able to see the stage. So, I understand it is hot and there is no shade, but please be considerate of those sitting behind you.”

Less than 15 minutes after I had started, and without saying a word or complaining to anyone, my experience changed right before my eyes.

The best part?!? When my son got to the stage and sat down, he was literally straight in front of where I was sitting! Turns out, my son had given me incorrect information about his location on the stage, but Source Energy knew exactly where to sit me! If I had sat in the area I thought I originally wanted, it would have been too far away. I had the best seat in the house: no obstructions beside or in front of me, a gentle breeze blowing, and an unobstructed view of my son. What more could a mother want?
