Romancing the Struggle

romancing the struggleIn my work with creative and healing business owners, I’ve noticed that some people really enjoy experiencing struggle. Where none exists, they’ll create some to ensure there is plenty to go around.

For these people, struggle makes them feel more alive, satisfying their need to complain, push against someone/something, and ‘have an enemy’ to confront.

Some are wired this way, and those who are not have subconsciously succumbed to the belief that there is no other choice—and they don’t question that thinking. Fighting amid the struggle allows them to justify the belief that nothing good comes without a struggle.

Romancing the Struggle

I know because a while back, I was among the unconsciously struggling group. I didn’t enjoy the struggles, but everyone around me was parroting that ‘life is hard’, ‘making money is a struggle’, ‘we all have to settle; no one can get what they want’. I listened to and believed their complaints and worries and fears, and never once did I question those thoughts.

At the time, I didn’t even realize I had a choice! I didn’t realize my own power to create struggle or create ease.

It took me a long time to realize that life was merely mirroring what I claimed to be true. I not only had a choice, but I could question the ‘life is a struggle’ thinking, and I could make room for ease and flow in my business…and every area of my life.

Bottom line: Your life and your business are only as difficult as you decide they are.

We decide each time we observe ‘what is’ and label it ‘the way it will always be’. Or observe others in struggle and claim ‘that will happen to me, too’. We can decide something different at any point, but only we can do it for ourselves.

Ready to Start Romancing the Ease?

Here’s what you can do if you are ready to experience more ease and flow:

1. Decide to let go of your struggle romance. – Nothing can change until you decide you are ready to let that go. Write your struggle romance a break-up letter. Thank it for what it has taught you, and tell it goodbye. Then, get ready to make a new commitment. From time-to-time, you may benefit from re-committing to this decision when you find yourself slipping back into bad habits of struggle.

2. Make a new commitment. – Intend to experience more ease, flow, fun, and joy. Some people find it supportive to craft and use affirmations every day reminding them of that ease, which helps them move forward. Become a regular visitor to Easy World. Visualize the ease you’d like to experience. Tune into how you’d like to feel when all is said and done.

3. Question your thinking. – Once you’ve made the decision and commitment, start consciously choosing to shift your thinking into alignment.

What’s ‘in alignment’ mean?
• Thoughts that feel good are in alignment with committing to more ease and flow.
• Conversely, thoughts that feel bad are not in alignment with committing to more ease and flow.

When you find yourself spinning on a subject, getting caught in struggle, look at the underlying belief and apply The Work: Is this true? Can I absolutely be sure it’s true? How do I feel when I think this thought? Who would I be without this thought?

4. Increase your awareness of the physical feelings in your body. – The body compass can tell us way more than our mind, if we’re willing to listen to the messages. If you are stuck in your brain, chances are very good that you are obsessing rather than resolving your struggles.

Get still, become aware of your breath, feel your arms, hands, legs, feet, chest. Notice your heartbeat. As you sense your body, the thinking centers of the brain turn off. Notice where the tension is, and let it go. Notice where you feel tight, or have sensations like aches or pains or itching. Awareness of these sensations is not only healing, but opens space for old, stuck issues to come to the surface. This is an ongoing practice.

5. Find time every day to meditate and relax. – Brain science shows us that our best thinking happens when we’re relaxed, not when we’re stressed. Just 5 minutes a day of relaxed awareness on the breath begins to rewire our brain to be less reactive. There is a reason some successful companies require their executive staff to meditate regularly. You will be amazed by the health and mental well-being benefits of this one step, alone!

6. Look for ways to romance the ease already existing in your life. – Some people find it helpful to keep a gratitude journal, or an evidence journal, or a hybrid of both, to record the good, the ease, the miracles showing up in their life…and it’s a good way to become more aware of the ease already flowing.

7. Talk, Write, Think, and Act As If. – Put your new story of ease and flow into practice. Talk about the ease in your life. Write about the ease and flow. Think about (and give thanks for) the ease and flow in your life and business. Walk, drive, eat, and behave like a person who is immersed in ease. Be the business owner who embraces ease.

Why Your Creative or Healing Business is Not Growing

Many of my mentoring clients are creative and/or healing professionals who feel spiritually *called* to their work—it feels like their life’s purpose. They are drawn to me because they want to find a way to do their heart work while also making a good living.

Creative and healing professionals often have their craft at the forefront of their business radar—none would have considered opening their doors if they didn’t feel they offered a valuable service. In fact, the number one reason creative and healing professionals do not officially start their businesses is a fear that they are ‘not good enough, yet’.

These professionals spend an enormous amount of time making sure they have something of value to offer, and constantly improving those offerings.

What often takes a back seat to the honing of their craft or skill, though, is the actual Sales and Marketing for their business. It’s true. S&M (Sales and Marketing) are often viewed as torturous. Not only do these skills not come easy to these professionals, there are often a lot of bad-feeling stories and judgment wrapped around the idea of sales and marketing, as well as other essential business success functions like hiring a support team. I’m talking about the kind of bad-feeling stories and judgment that keeps people stuck where they are, never able to move forward.

When Our Stories And Judgments Hold Us In Limbo
Amy (name changed for privacy) feels called to her work as a massage therapist who incorporates sound healing, and often refers to it as her ‘heart work’. Performing her work fulfills her deeply and she cannot see herself NOT doing this work.

However, Amy has been struggling for the last few years to get her business off the ground and actually growing. See if you can tell from Amy’s stories why her business is not growing…

• “I hate having to sell or promote my business.”
• “UGH…Marketing feels like busy work—so much to do, for no results.”
• “No one can afford my fees—and I cannot afford to drop my fees any farther.”
• “It’s pretty much impossible to make a living doing my heart work!”
• “I highly doubt people making money doing this work are ethical. I don’t know how they can possibly be making any money!”
• “I’m not willing to be a sell-out like others, in order to be successful in my work.”

In addition to focusing on what she hates about her business, Amy has already decided people cannot afford her services, and she negatively judges others who manage to make money in her field.

These stories and judgments are woven into nearly every conversation Amy has, and despite understanding the power of energy, these are also woven into Amy’s own mental self-talk. In fact, her stories are now so embedded into her being (she’s been telling them so long), the minute she sees her business cards or equipment, she physically feels the negative impact in her body.

Professional colleagues who encounter Amy find themselves feeling drained after speaking with her, so they make excuses not to interact. No one is mentioning her business to potential clients.

Family and friends, who say they want to support Amy, instead, find themselves commiserating with just how *difficult* it must be to start and run a successful business. This only reinforces what Amy already believes to be true.

Creative and healing professionals who have both an inner calling to do their life’s work while simultaneously holding bad-feeling stories and judgments that prevent them from growing their business or being financially successful are their own worst enemies.

That disconnect between their calling and their stories/judgments that undermines their calling creates energetic resistance, keeping business growth and success forever at bay in a state of suspension. Never growing. Never thriving. Always pain-filled. Frustrating. Exhausting.

Sound familiar?

It Matters How You Start and Nurture Your Business
When I began working with Amy, I helped her see how she had actually started her business with the doubt, bad-feeling stories and judgments in place. Then, when her business began to reflect those stories and judgments back to her, she labeled what she observed as the ‘reality’ of her failing business.

Once she had observed and labeled the failure, she was never able to imagine something better because ‘reality’ (aka ‘what is’) was always staring her in the face. She literally set the groundwork for her business to fail before she started and then she nurtured the failure, not the success.

Whenever Amy had tried to set her observed ‘reality’ aside for a moment, to imagine something better for her business, she had plenty of people around her happy to remind her of ‘reality’. Her husband and parents, attempting to be helpful, were particularly relentless in suggesting that Amy give up on her dream, and just get a reliable 9-to-5 job. (For the record, not following your heart work is soul-crushing, and a fast-track to depression and loss of self-esteem.)

Abraham-Hicks often talks about the importance of only focusing on ‘what is’ if we ENJOY ‘what is’. Otherwise, they tell us we have to be willing to look beyond it in order to grow:

As others insist that you look at “reality,” they are influencing you to be rooted to this spot like a tree. As long as you are seeing only what-is, you cannot grow beyond it. You must be allowed to see what you want to see if you will ever attract what you want to see. Attention to what-is only creates more of what-is.

(excerpt, The Law of Attraction: The Basics of the Teachings of Abraham, pg 190)

Looking beyond ‘what-is’ is a skill well worth developing as a business owner. Successful business owners know this. Children practice this every day as they play using their imaginations. They suspend their disbelief that their playmate is not really a cowboy and they are not really a pirate. They toss a piece of fabric around their backs and call it a cape, and strike the Super Man pose with true conviction.

In that moment…they ARE what they imagine themselves to be. They FEEL the power of their imaginations, and they revel in the joy of it.

As adults, we can benefit greatly from brushing off our childhood skills of suspending disbelief and imagining something fun in our professional life.

Brain science has already proven that the subconscious mind does not know the difference between our real observations, our memories, or our imagination. The subconscious is moving forward, choosing opportunities and experiences based on how you feel. If you start a business with stories of doubt, fear, and judgment of those who are successful, the feeling is probably not very good—and neither will be the results.

Getting Help To Succeed
Amy hired me when she needed someone dedicated to seeing her succeed, willing to guide her through the maze to turn her business around from the ground up. First, she had to consciously choose to wipe the slate clean on her business, create her business anew from a better-feeling place while releasing her judgments. Then, she had to be willing to actively nurture her own success as one would lovingly tend a garden. As a result, Amy discovered a new-found interest in sales and marketing on her own terms, in a way that was fun and invigorating for her. The result is a thriving business with a lot less frustration, and a MUCH happy business owner!

Power Animals

Have you ever contemplated the power that animals bring to your life experience?

As I type this post, I am sitting next to an open window with the sounds of hundreds of birds chirping. No, I don’t live in the country but in a rather large suburb, an area known as Birdland. Groves of mature trees attract birds to nest…from hummingbirds in my backyard to ravens and even some hawks and wild parrots! I happen to live near a large intersection, yet, more often than not, the noise from the birds is so loud that you can’t even hear the nearby traffic.

I love the sound of birds chirping, even at night. It connects me to nature and soothes me.

Indoors, my kitties have a way of bringing me into the Vortex of love and appreciation simply by BEing—reminding me of the importance of rest, relaxation, connection and quiet time…and a little play time is good for everyone! When it comes to napping coaches, they are the best hands-on paws-on coaches!

Their presence is ever-felt, even though they are usually just quietly sleeping nearby or fascinated by a spider or bug in the corner. Unconditional love, openness to experiencing the moment just as it is, and willingness to be vulnerable with a human (many times their size) are ever-present lessons that pets gift their human companions.

The Institute of HeartMath in Boulder Creek, CA has discovered that the relationship between humans and animals is mutually beneficial, and it can be profoundly beneficial for both humans and animals. In addition to the emotional benefits, research conducted at the institute found that a type of heart-rhythm entrainment, or synchronization, can occur in interactions between people and their pets. People also benefit from befriending farm animals…actually, I have heard that chickens are quite a lot of fun, as are pigs, goats, cows and horses! Farm animals have been used to rehabilitate wounded soldiers, psychiatric patients, and former convicts.

Not only do the humans enjoy it and benefit, but so do the animals! The heart-rhythm coherence improves the health and immune system for all parties involved. I’ve adopted cats who looked like they were not going to live long, and then noticed their health, coat, and disposition improve immensely as they were exposed to plenty of love and appreciation. (I’ve heard avid gardeners say the same is true of plants.)

It’s  also quite possible that repeated physical benefits of connection with animals could be entrain humans to feel good even when just *thinking* about animals and nature. We remember how good the last connection felt and look forward to experiencing that again.

Even when we have suffered the loss of a pet, we are able to fondly remember past experiences even as we cuddle and enjoy the company of a new pet. Pets teach us the profound lesson that real love never dies~it just transforms, like all energy. When we connect with our pets, the love we feel is so deep and meaningful that almost nothing else matters in that moment, and we are transported away from anything not matching that loving vibration.

Deliberate creators know that a beloved pet has the power to shift us almost instantly from a bad feeling place into a high-vibration. When we are in a high vibratory energy pattern, we become a closer match to our high-vibing desires and therefore closer to bringing them into our physical experience.  Most deliberate creators will quickly admit that their love for their pet(s) is their go-to vibe shifter that works every time!

Another thing cats teach Deliberate Creators: You are not a victim to what is happening around you. You always have the choice to something that (or someone who) feels better. Don’t settle – if you have to, get up and MOVE to find good-feeling people and experiences.

So, the next time you hear birds chirping or connect with animals, remember the AMAZING power they provide us…day after day, freely and only with the hope that you will join in the love.

Connecting with Who You Really Are: The Power of Quantum Entrainment

By now, I hope you have noticed that anything I recommend to you I have first tried and experimented with myself. In this blog, I share not only what I have learned, but what has worked for me, with the intention that you will also try what resonates for you and experience positive outcomes.

This past February, Trish Spadt told me about a process she was enjoying called Quantum Quantum Entrainment - AwarenessEntrainment. With excitement, she talked about how it has changed how she perceives the world and positively shifted many things in her life. I had met Trish virtually last Fall when she had inquired about selling my meditation program on her website. One day, I called Trish (it turned out it was also her birthday)  and we had a joyful conversation about metaphysics, her journey understanding how we heal ourselves, and about Quantum Physics. So, when she brought up Quantum Entrainment in our next conversation in February, I decided to check it out!

Many of you already know I have been on a metaphysical and spiritual journey since my late teens, so I have probably abandoned more processes and modalities than most people have even tried. When someone tells me about something new, I am usually a little skeptical, but I at least check it out. If it resonates, I keep going. If it fizzles or feels off to me, I let it go. If I am meant to learn it, it will resonate me at a future time.

Following along with the free videos on the Quantum Entrainment website , I found the process easy to learn and intriguing. (BTW, ‘Stop Your Thoughts’ and ‘Science Behind QE’ videos are my favorites!) I also listened to the interview of Frank Kinslow (now on the home page), and listened to the free audio meditations. The process is simple yet very profound: By engaging in a deep form of rest, we are engaging powerful healing energy. When we get into a relaxed state of Pure Awareness, experiences we would normally consider miracles begin happening. Healings on many levels (physical, spiritual, emotional, etc.) begin to take place and seem to happen without any effort.

Right now, you are probably rolling your eyes. I know it seems crazy to get amazing results by essentially doing NOTHING. Stay with me, you’ll be glad you did!

After listening and following along, I found I could get into the state of Pure Awareness (you have to feel this because words really do fall short) relatively easily. QE/PA felt WONDERFUL, and after only a few minutes in this state I felt deeply rested ~ as if I had awoken from a restful night’s sleep! While I cannot point to any profound physical shifts, I could FEEL in that first 24 hours that something profound was shifting internally for me.

If you are scratching your head wondering what I am talking about, keep reading. Quantum Entrainment escapes explanation. As Frank Kinslow says, “It goes beyond words, it goes beyond the mind.” I can confirm that you really have to experience Quantum Entrainment/Pure Awareness for yourself.

I asked around at Good Vibe University [GVU] if they had heard about or tried Quantum Entrainment. Marielle Duijndam, in the Netherlands, had attended a workshop there called Rapid Healing which is essentially the same process and also mentioned that The Living Matrix is essentially the same. (Since then, I’ve heard that Tom Stone teaches Pure Awareness, which is the same process.) Before long, there was a lively conversation happening around this process, several people having some great breakthroughs, and we decided to host some calls combining the subjects of Quantum Physics and the Law of Attraction, Quantum Jumping, and Quantum Entrainment. Several folks from GVU have shared profound shifts they have experienced since incorporating this process into their life. One member, in Germany, was initially a naysayer but ended up getting a scholarship from GVU to attend the live workshop in his area. He enjoyed the course so much that this former-naysayer went on to take the Master Course with Frank Kinslow. Not only does he now employ QE/PA regularly, he’s experienced some financial and career breakthroughs as a result.

By the way, Frank mentioned in the Germany workshop that all the information about Quantum Entrainment is on the website. So, buy the books and register for a workshop if you feel drawn to do so, but everything you need to learn and do QE is right up there on the site, available 24/7. It costs you nothing to try and learn. That business model is intriguing to me as Frank easily makes a living selling books and offering workshops despite the fact that all the information is available for free on his website. To me, that points to a whole new way of doing business AND a perfect example of how it is easy to trust in abundance and well-being when we are in tune with Divine Source!

As a result of incorporating Quantum Entrainment, has my life shifted in a positive way? Absolutely! New opportunities showed up, abundance flowed in, and I gained a deeper appreciation for and interaction with Divine Source Energy. That energy is now palpably present in my  life, every where I go, every thing I do, and in every interaction. It’s easy to trust in Divine Source when you feel it palpably and know it is always working for your highest good. Quantum Entrainment feels wonderful to do and it has indeed improved my life. For me, it felt like the missing piece of the puzzle.

CAUTION: Quantum Entrainment/Pure Awareness is addictive! Once you become aware of this power in your life, and how wonderful it feels, you will no longer be interested in suffering. You simply won’t tolerate suffering and discomfort, especially when you can instantly find relief with QE/PA, so your life will shift for the better and you will find very little to complain about. Happiness is the by-product of shifting and healing how you show up in the world. You will see the direct result of making the effort to be in Pure Awareness, so you will never again question how you create your reality and you’ll refuse to stay stuck in misery. Consider yourself warned. 😉

Stress and Fear and Deep Breathing

Did you know there is a connection between stress and fear?

I must say that I’d never made the correlation between stress and fear.

Although, I have been aware that research continues to show that stress is the basis or a significant factor in nearly all diseases and illnesses. I wouldn’t be the first person to report feeling stressed, and then coming down with a cold…a perfect opportunity to rest the body, sleep, and indulge in self-care. After a few days of this, the cold seems to magically cure itself.

So, while I was aware of the role of stress in health, it never occurred to me that there was a connection between stress and fear. That was, until I was listening to a guided meditation by Louise Hay.

In her Subliminal Mastery Series audiobook, Stress Free: Peaceful Affirmations to Relieve Anxiety and Help You Relax (1990), Louise Hay clearly states:

Stress is a fear reaction to life, and to life’s constant changes. Stress has become a catch word, and we use it as an excuse for not taking responsibility for our feelings. If we can equate the word stress with the word fear, then we can begin to eliminate the need for fear in our life. A peaceful relaxed person is neither frightened nor stressed.

When I heard that, I had to keep rewinding to hear it again:

Stress is a fear reaction to life?

Stress…an excuse for not taking responsibility for our feelings!?!

– Equate the word stress with the word fear, then we begin to eliminate the need for fear!?!

Being a 20 year old recording, this is clearly not new news, even though it clearly was for me. Had you heard this before? Were you aware of the connection between stress and fear?

In the audio, Louise goes on to ask…

Why are we afraid? Why do we give our power away? How can we eliminate that fear, and move through life feeling safe? We can do this by changing our thinking.

Changing our thinking (affirmations, of course, with the help of meditation and visualization!) …AND… changing our breathing.

You read that right: Breathing.

Oh, wait, I’m getting ahead of myself…

Last year, I had read a blog post by Susan Eller about how our body is designed to release 70% of toxins through our breathing! That still astonishes me.

Then, earlier this year, I had seen a tweet by @JaqStone reminding us all to take frequent breaks for deep breaths. I did, and it felt so good, I made a decision to breath deeply 3 times throughout the day as I transitioned from one  activity to another. Within that first day, I noticed some huge benefits!

– I felt better and seemed to have more energy
– My day seemed to flow easier
Solutions to problems seemed to appear all by themselves

PLUS

– I found that my fear-based thoughts seemed to EVAPORATE as I breathed in more oxygen!

Seriously. Just try it for yourself: See how long you can actually hold onto to fear while you are deeply breathing. If you are like me, fear just *poof* dissipates!

Yes, I realize all of the above examples include the word *seemed*…all of our experience is about perception. Deep breathing was causing a shift in my perception and therefore, my experience.

Anyway, shortly after my AHAs about the power of deep breathing, which I tweeted about profusely, I read a response on GVU by Jeannette Maw to a forum post asking about fear. Jeannette wrote:

I’m thinking fear is excitement without breath

That statement really made an impact on me, based on my recent experience with breathing deeply, and it has come back to my mind time and again…and a Google search indicates the quote (fear is excitement without breath) originated from Robert Heller in the 19th Century. Although I had never heard this quote before, either (I know…where have I BEEN?!?), it is a simple reminder that deep breathing is beneficial, most especially when we feel fear: relaxes our muscles and mind, while helping us calm down, think clearer, and recognize the joy of excitement.

I’m also thinking about how some of my favorite energy tools (Emotional Freedom Technique/Meridian Tapping, Non-Personal Awareness, meditation, etc.) and exercise (aerobic, yoga/pilates, etc.) all incorporate deep breathing as part of the technique. After just focusing on deep breathing throughout the day, I’m wondering if the increase in oxygen and therefore the reduction of fear-thoughts is a big part of why we feel so good after doing these techniques or activities?!?

Let’s recap what we’ve uncovered here:

Stress is a fear response, and it’s the root cause of many illnesses and diseases…

And fear, a component in stress, is dissipated by deep breathing, then by deduction, stress must also be reduced by deep breathing.

That would mean that most illnesses and diseases (caused by stress) can be positively affected by regular, conscious, deep breathing!

Deep breathing is the body’s way of releasing 70% of toxins.

Simple enough for everyone to do—keep breathing, but do it a little deeper each time—and something that any deliberate creator would want to add to their conscious life experience!

Fear only exists when you do not understand that
you have the power to project thought and that the Universe will respond.

The Power of the Human Heart

Long time readers of this blog have read about the amazing research that the HeartMath Institute in Boulder Creek, CA has been doing on the human heart. HeartMath LLC began this research to better understand how to reduce or eliminate stress, which can be detrimental to the heart, with their patented emWave device and software. Since then, additional research, including information obtained from satellites, have really shown the power of the human heart.

The HeartMath Institute discovered that the human heart generates the strongest electro-magnetic field in the body, far greater than the brain–approximately 100 times more powerful electrically, and up to 5,000 times more powerful magnetically! Scientists already knew that atoms can be altered if the electrical or magnetic field surrounding them changes, so realizing the heart is capable of doing BOTH makes you realize how powerful the human heart truly is!
So, knowing about this research, I was not really surprised by this story shared recently on Facebook:

Heck, if the collective electro-magnetic field of humanity can affect the electro-magnetic field of the earth, then it makes sense that the powerful emotions a mother and father feel at birth could surround their baby in a powerful life-resuscitating electro-magnetic field.
What’s even more interesting for Law of Attraction students is that this couple had accepted the loss of their baby, yet still allowed themselves to feel their feelings of love, and talk to him of his healthy sister. They surrendered to the situation at hand and kept their hearts open.
The next time you have a desire, remember this family and try surrendering while keeping your heart open!

Scientists already knew that atoms can be altered if the electrical or magnetic field surrounding them changes, so realizing the heart is capable of doing BOTH makes you realize how powerful the human heart truly is!

So, knowing about this research, I was not really surprised by this story of a mother and her premature baby, shared recently on Facebook:

Heck, if the collective electro-magnetic field of humanity can affect the electro-magnetic field of the earth, then it makes sense that the powerful hormone-driven emotions a mother and father feel at birth could surround their baby in a powerful life-resuscitating electro-magnetic field.

What’s even more interesting for Law of Attraction students, is the way in which this experience came about: The mother and father had accepted the devastating loss of their baby, and chose to spend the precious time they had left appreciating him. Although saddened, they allowed themselves to be in the moment and to fully feel their feelings of love, and talk to him of his healthy sister and all that they had planned to do with him. They surrendered to the situation at hand while keeping their hearts open.

Who can really say if this situation would have turned out the same had the parents decided  to *try* to bring the baby back to life? Perhaps with such a hefty-agenda, the emotional release, surrender and open-heartedness may not have been in place.

The next time you have a desire, remember this family and try letting go… be in the moment, and surrender to the possibilities while keeping your heart open.

Want to *REALLY* Help Haiti…or Anyone Else?

Today, I listened in on a guided meditation to help the victims of the Haiti earthquake, and the person leading the meditation starting out by asking everyone attending to close their eyes, relax…and visualize the horror, devastation, and death happening in Haiti. I’m not kidding. This person was trying to drag us all into pity, sadness, and feeling sorry for the people of Haiti, and I realized that was *my cue* to leave!
Instead, I sat in my office, quieted my mind, got into a heart-coherent state, and visualized Haiti fully recovered, totally rebuilt, healed and healthy, the sun shining and hearts full of love. I saw the streets clean and citizens feeling appreciation for the out-pouring of love after the earthquake, knowing that their country is doing much better than ever *because of the earthquake*.
Why did I visualize something good, positive and uplifting rather than something sorrowful, pitiful and depressing? Because I know that as I hold *anything* or *anyone* as the focus of my attention, I am at the same time sending that vibration to them. I know that when someone is in trouble, pain, or difficulty, it is far more beneficial to them to imagine them whole, healthy, and happy! This is why prayer is so powerful, and known to create miraculous healings.
Abraham explains it this way…

In 2010, they would say something like, “Get in the Vortex before you hold anyone you care about as your focus of attention.” The Vortex is their term for a heart-coherent state, that state of appreciation and love you feel when you interact with pets and loved ones. The HeartMath Institute in Boulder Creek, CA has research proving that when we are in a heart-coherent state, we have a positive effect on those around us and to whom we are connected.
If giving money feels good and heart-coherent to you, then do it. The money they receive from people who hold them in high-regard with love and appreciation will create miracles for them. If you are not in a heart-coherent state about donating, please spare them your pity-money. Money imbued with hope, love, and appreciation will be so much more beneficial for their total recovery.
If you cannot get yourself to feel good for the people of Haiti, then that is your work. Do what you need to do to get to a positive, loving, healing place. Look back on your own life, your own struggles, and realize how often they were the catalyst for wonderful experiences that could not have happened otherwise. (See my post “Everything You Experience is…A Blessing”) Shift your own energy to a positive place in regard to Haiti, THEN, envision that for them now. And send your money to them from the place of hope, love and appreciation.
The same goes for helping anyone you know who is unhealthy, struggling, or going through a hard time. You are of greater help to others when you are in a positive place, and see them in that same place, too.

One week ago, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck the country of Haiti.

This person, believing they were well-meaning, was trying to drag us all into pity, sadness, and feeling sorry for the people of Haiti, thinking that would help. I realized it wouldn’t and knew that was *my cue* to leave that meditation. There is NO point in visualizing more horror~for anyone. It will never help them!

Instead, I sat in my office, quieted my mind, got into a heart-coherent state, and visualized Haiti fully recovered, totally rebuilt, healed and healthy, the sun shining and hearts full of love. I saw the streets clean and citizens feeling appreciation for the out-pouring of love after the earthquake, knowing that their country is doing much better than ever *because of the earthquake*. I allowed myself to stay there, visualizing this wonderful feeling, and then I felt that positive energy going to everyone in Haiti. I felt them benefiting immediately.

Why did I visualize something good, positive and uplifting rather than something sorrowful, pitiful and depressing? Because I know that as I hold *anything* or *anyone* as the focus of my attention, I am at the same time sending my vibration to them.

This is because the Law of Attraction is always lining up similar vibrational frequencies~like a universal tuning fork. When I hold someone as my focus of attention while worrying, I’m sending that energy to them. When I hold someone as my focus while I am angry, I’m sending that energy to them. What energy would be most helpful to Haiti right now~your worry, fear, and pity, or your heart-felt love, appreciation, and hope for their future?

I know that when someone is in trouble, pain, or difficulty, it is far more beneficial to them to imagine them whole, healthy, and happy! This is why affirmative group prayer is so powerful, and known to create miraculous healings. This is why Ho’oponopono is so powerful in healing energy across all time and space ~something that the Ancient Ha’waiian’s understood without the benefit of Quantum Physics.

The more people who hold Haiti in a positive place now, the faster and better they will recover. Abraham explains it this way…

Look back on your own life, your own struggles, and remember how often those times were the catalyst for wonderful experiences that could not have happened otherwise. (See my post “Everything You Experience…Is A Blessing!“) Shift your own energy to a positive place in regard to Haiti, THEN, I ask you to join me in envisioning wholeness, recovery, and hopeful future for the people of Haiti.

And, then, send your money to them from the place of hope, love and appreciation so it will actually make a positive difference.

By the way, the same guidance goes for helping anyone you know who is unhealthy, struggling, out-of-work, or going through a hard time. You are of greater help to others when you are in a positive place, and hold them as the object of your uplifted vibration.
