Who Needs a Coach When I Have Friends?

Boy, this is a topic I have been meaning to write about for a while!

Whether you have voiced it or not, I am betting a number of you think talking to your friends is just as good as hiring a coach.

I know you think this way, because I used to think this way...that was, until I hired a coach to work with me back in 2003 when I was launching AffirmingSpirit.

It's NOT the same - at least, not when you hire a good coach!

Over the years, several of my clients have been truly surprised to find coaching much more helpful than just speaking to their friends. There's some good reasons for this.

Talking it Out: Affirmative Conversations

When we speak in conversations with others, we are changing the energy around us (literally). Now we know from work done by the Institute of HeartMath that the thoughts combined with emotions are transmitted through our heart into the quantum field. Whatever we send out is mirrored back to us vibrationally. Ask yourself if what you generally speak about with others is affirming what you want to experience or affirming what you do NOT want (complaining)?

The media is overwhelmed with people complaining about companies doing things they don't like and exhibiting behaviors of which they do not approve. The time for complaining is OVER.

The brilliant thinker Buckminster Fuller once said: “You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.”

I truly could not agree more! It doesn't matter how *right* you are about what you complain about. Deliberate Creators know that what we focus on EXPANDS, so focusing on things you don't like is really a waste of your energy.
