It’s no secret that I resisted joining Twitter for a long time. While I’ve shared this fact a number of times, I probably haven’t shared how it has proven to be an amazing connection tool for me. If you told me that I would be forging great friendships 140 characters at a time on Twitter, I would have been slowly backing away and scanning for an exit. Frankly, I probably wouldn’t have been alone in that assessment. The web is filled with time-wasting options.
Yet, forge great friendships and connections is what has happened in the last four months…in the midst of typing 4,900 updates and gaining 1,840-ish followers…I’ve met some really great like-minded people!
Some of the great folks on Twitter have asked me to write guest articles or guest posts for them. I’d like to share a few with you now, and recommend you check out their sites and, if you aren’t already doing so, follow them on Twitter:
CHIP ENGELMANN  •  chipeft.com  •  Twitter ID: @ChipEFT
Chip is an EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Practitioner and I tweet a lot about deliberately applying the Law of Attraction.  Having learned about EFT six years ago, I not only appreciate it, I use the technique often. So, when he asked me to write an article about combining EFT with the Law of Attraction, I was happy to do so. You can read the subsequent guest article here:

IVAN CAMPUZANO  •  ivancampuzano.com  •  Twitter ID: @IvanCampuzano
Ivan is Personal Development blogger and author. We connected on Twitter re-tweeting (Twitter term for forwarding someone’s posts on to your own followers) each other’s messages about the creative power of human consciousness. Despite his youth, Ivan has an incredible grasp of personal development knowledge. Ivan asked if I’d consider being a guest blogger, and while honored I was stumped about what I could share that would be of value to his readers (of which he has *many*). Finally, I realized I could share the Top 7 Myth’s about Affirmations. The article is so long, though, that we decided to break it into a 7 part series that would publish one myth per day for a full week. He posted the first of the series on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 here:Â

Twitter is a phenomenal tool for connecting with like-minded folks, and an excellent way to network. I encourage you to check out each of these folks websites, read my guest articles, and if you like…follow them on Twitter.  You can also follow me (if you don’t already): @AffirmingSpirit. Don’t have a Twitter ID yet? Well…no better time to begin cementing great friendships 140 characters at a time!
